Sabrina Artel's Trailer Talk can now be heard every Friday at 2pm on WJFF Radio Catskill 90.5FM in Jeffersonville, New York.

Trailer Talk is a public conversation that always includes many more people during the live event than are included in the audio program. In all cases the audio program which is the secondary component of the Trailer Talk project is only a portion of the conversations shared at my mobile kitchen table. I am grateful to all of the participants during Trailer Talk both inside and outside of the trailer. Everyone who participates in Trailer Talk is important to both the live and the recorded audio event. Thanks so much to everyone for joining in on the conversations!

I took a beautiful birthday walk through the snowy woods today(feeling like the Princess of Magic) with my pal, Dolphie and as she ran through the snow I thought about loosing this gorgeous land, these Catskills, the peace and beauty, the wild turkeys, the mink, the blue herons, the barn owl that hoots hunting at night this time of year, the solitude and mysterious power of my mountain home. This has not been a good week for the environment and wildlife as Bush continues to sign away our future. So do we choose this?

Hmn, Drilling: property values, neighborhood depreciation, air pollution, water pollution, soil contamination, noise and light pollution, health and safety issues, increased crime and traffic congestion, wildlife mortality, loss of green space, aesthetic impacts, catastrophic accidents, lack of evacuation plans and the image of a place, city, neighborhood, home (mine & yours) as a livable location destroyed? We think not!

Please let Obama know that we must make clean energy a priority for all of us and everything everywhere! Here's to a new America.

Trailer Talk went to the benefit in North Branch, NY for the grassroots citizen group, Catskill Citizens for Safe Energy that has formed in Sullivan and Delaware Counties in the Catskills over concern about the proposed gas drilling in the Marcellus shale throughout the region. For New Yorkers: This is your last chance to tell the NYS STATE DEC what you think about gas drilling! Please go to the DEC to comment on the draft scope for Marcellus Shale gas well drilling environmental impact statement. The deadline is TODAY(via e-mail) Monday December 15th. Let your voice be heard!
