Sabrina Artel's Trailer Talk can now be heard every Friday at 2pm on WJFF Radio Catskill 90.5FM in Jeffersonville, New York.
Trailer Talk is a public conversation that always includes many more people during the live event than are included in the audio program. In all cases the audio program which is the secondary component of the Trailer Talk project is only a portion of the conversations shared at my mobile kitchen table. I am grateful to all of the participants during Trailer Talk both inside and outside of the trailer. Everyone who participates in Trailer Talk is important to both the live and the recorded audio event. Thanks so much to everyone for joining in on the conversations!

Details: Renée Petropoulos HOMAGE, Ist Istallment 2.13.09This week's road session: I did it, I got out of the icy cold Catskills and am in Los Angeles.Thank you D for making this trip possible and for supporting my temporary escape to the sun. I'll be calling you as soon as I get back from the Greek Folk Dance Festival in Ontario where I go early tomorrow and will be creating a special program from the event. Since we last spoke I've been in D.C for the Inauguration, which was not only interesting but also inspiring, exciting and more monumental than I had imagined. I've been filled with those heady days spent engaging and learning from all of the people I met and have already put together two new pieces! I also broadcast an interview I had with Eleanor Roosevelt II, the niece of Eleanor as I reflected upon this historic transitional time. I just spoke with artist Renée Petropoulos about her new exhibition, Homage, 1st Installment at the Rosamund Felsen Gallery in Santa Monica, California which is on view from February 6, 2009 - March 7, 2009. I had an amazing time seeing, listening and interacting with her work. Renée Petropoulos in Gallery 2 of her new exhibit, Homage, 1st installment "For her upcoming exhibition at the Rosamund Felsen Gallery, Renée Petropoulos has made a series of new oil paintings on linen, forming the core of Homage, 1st Installment. In her homage Petropoulos invokes artists and writers in Modernist and Contemporary history and art history, ranging from Blinky Palermo to Edward Said. Each of the oil paintings on linen merge the flag colors of two countries through imaginative and inventive geometric patterns. Petropoulos combines two national color schemes in overlapping lines of color, layered abstraction, plaid improvisations and impositions of colors, forming an inextricable linking of the two nationalities." Renée Petropoulos seen with her painting, "From Germany to Greece", 2008-2009 Stay tuned for details on the upcoming Los Angeles Trailer Talk fundraiser!!!
